The creation of Working Groups (WGs) plays a strategic role in strengthening AESAS as a technical reference in the areas of environment and contaminated site management. These groups allow for in-depth discussions on specific topics, monitoring of technical and regulatory advances, promotion of the exchange of experiences among professionals, and contribution to the production of technical content, recommendations, and institutional positions of the association. Working Groups also function as spaces for articulation among members, stimulating active participation, continuing education, and the collective construction of solutions to current and future environmental challenges. In this way, AESAS expands its capacity for technical, educational, and representative action with regulatory bodies, research institutions, and society. The activation or deactivation of Working Groups should occur according to the demand and relevance of the topics in a given period. Thus, some WGs may be active when there is a need for technical deepening, regulatory updates, or the development of specific projects, while others may remain inactive until new demands arise. This dynamic ensures flexibility, efficient use of resources, and constant alignment with the priorities of the environmental sector and AESAS members.
